All Slope Calculators
Twelve free tools, split into the ones that speak algebra and the ones that speak jobsite. Every one works on a phone, shows its working, and calculates only when you press the button.
For homework, test prep and anything written in x and y. See the hub →
Slope from two points, a line equation, or a point plus slope — with equation, angle, intercepts, distance and a graph.
Open tool →Slope Formula CalculatorApply m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) to two points with every substitution shown.
Open tool →Slope Intercept Form CalculatorBuild y = mx + b from a slope and intercept or from two points, and graph it.
Open tool →Point Slope Form CalculatorTurn one point and a slope into y - y1 = m(x - x1), plus slope-intercept and standard form.
Open tool →X and Y Intercept CalculatorFind where a line crosses both axes, from two points or from an equation.
Open tool →Midpoint CalculatorThe exact halfway point between two coordinates, plotted on a graph.
Open tool →Distance Between Two Points CalculatorStraight-line distance between two points using the Pythagorean distance formula.
Open tool →Perpendicular Bisector CalculatorThe line that cuts a segment in half at a right angle, with its equation.
Open tool →Percent, ratio, degrees and inches per foot — with the code limits built in. See the hub →
Convert rise and run into percent grade, ratio and degrees — in feet, inches or metric.
Open tool →Roof Pitch CalculatorRise-in-12 pitch, angle, percent and the rafter multiplier for framing.
Open tool →Ramp Slope CalculatorCheck a wheelchair ramp against the ADA 1:12 limit and get the run and landings you need.
Open tool →Pipe Slope CalculatorDrainage fall per foot, percent and ratio — checked against the 1/4 in/ft minimum.
Open tool →Where to start
If you are not sure which tool you want, start with the slope calculator. From two points it returns the slope, the equation in three forms, the angle, the percent grade, both intercepts, the distance and the midpoint — so it usually answers the question you have and the next two as well.
The single-purpose tools exist for when you want the working laid out for one specific thing, which is what most homework is actually marked on.
What all of them share
- Nothing calculates until you press the button. Type, correct a digit, change your mind — the answer holds still until you ask for it.
- The working is shown. Every result opens with the substitutions written out, not just the final number.
- A picture comes with it. Coordinate tools draw the graph with the rise and run marked; trade tools draw the roof, ramp or pipe at the slope you entered.
- Results are shareable. The Copy result link button hands you a URL that reopens the page with your numbers filled in.
- It stays on your device. The maths runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us.
Learn the ideas behind them
The guides go through the concepts rather than the buttons: What Is Slope? covers the definition, the formula and the four types, and How to Find Slope covers the three methods you get asked for in class.
